Senior EHS Manager
We are partnering with one of our valued clients in the Bloomingdale/Roselle, IL area to support their direct hiring efforts for a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager. This on-site leadership role is a key part of their team, focused on strengthening site-wide safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental programs.

About the Role
The Senior EHS Manager will develop, implement, and manage safety policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and the company’s operational goals. You will lead internal safety programs, conduct audits, coordinate training, and serve as the main point of contact for external inspections and compliance reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Lead EHS strategy across the site, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies
Conduct job hazard analyses, manage chemical and hazardous material programs, and implement risk-reducing controls
Oversee and report on safety metrics including DART and incident trends
Coordinate and lead safety committees and emergency response efforts
Manage safety-related audits and partner with third-party vendors for air quality and respirator fit testing
Approve SOPs and Work Instructions to align with safety best practices
Provide leadership for incident investigations and corrective actions
Work with HR and recruiting teams on workers’ comp claims and pre-employment safety screenings
Support safety awareness through recognition programs and new hire training
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Ergonomics, or a related field
5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
At least 3 years of supervisory experience within safety teams
Solid understanding of OSHA and EPA standards and enforcement
Proficiency in MS Office and electronic document management systems
Strong communication, training, and leadership skills
Spanish language skills a plus
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ascend stairs/ladders, and operate PIT equipment
Exposure to allergens, airborne particles, and potentially hazardous materials
Use of PPE, including respiratory and hearing protection, as needed
Travel may be required to other facilities
